First Unitarian Church of Honolulu If you're looking for a liberal religious institution which has no dogma and is open-minded and supportive of people in alternative lifestyles, you might try the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu. Services are at 10:15 a.m. each Sunday morning at 2500 Pali Highway.
And, of course, Pali Paths, an informal and eclectic social and support network for poly and poly-interested people in Honolulu, Hawaii, started in September, 1993. Unitarian Universalists for Polyamory Awareness UUPA is a national organization of poly UUs to promote awareness and acceptance of polyamory within the Unitarian Universalist denomination and introduce polyamorus people to the UU church.

Liberated Christians, promoting positive intimacy and sexuality, including responsible nonmonogamy or polyamory as a legitimate CHOICE for Christians and others; exposing false traditions of sexual repression that have no biblical basis. Loving More: The Polyfidelity Primer, by Ryam Nearing. Literally a primer on polyfidelity (fidelity within a polyamorous context). A excellent book to start with. Covers many basic ideas in a clear, readable manner.
Polyamory: The New Love Without Limits, by Deborah Anapol. Breath-takingly frank and accurate look at polyamorous relationships, jealousy, family and morality. Sometimes shocking, extremely thought provoking.
The Ethical Slut, by Dossie Easton and Catherine A. Liszt. Don't be put off by the name -- this is an amazing book. Very practical, witty, honest, eye-opening. Its advice applies very well to relationships of every type.
Love 101, by Peter McWilliams. This book takes a differet approach to relationships: learn to truly love yourself before you learn to love others. This book may provoke more personal growth than any other listed here.
The Harrad Experiment, by Robert Rimmer. A ground-breaking work of speculative fiction which challenges the reader to imagine a society without jealousy. Dated, but still a good read.
Stranger in a Strange Land, by Robert Heinlein. A classic science fiction novel which has inspired many people to look for more in their relationships, philosophies and lives. This is the first book to popularize the idea of open relationships.
